A New York native, Alex joined the Navy to serve his country with Naval Special Warfare after the attacks of September 11. During his subsequent 8 years of active-duty service, Alex had several operational deployments to the Middle East. While forward deployed, and in addition to his special operations assignments, Alex was instrumental in coordinating multimillion dollar forward operating base physical and operational security improvements at Al Taqaddum Air Base, Iraq as well as the Special Operations Forces Compound Improvements in Taiji, Iraq. Upon separation from active-duty, Alex formed ABBA Project Management where he has successfully applied the leadership and organizational skills he developed while serving in NSW.

Through his leadership, ABBA Project Management has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver technically complex projects under challenging circumstances on time and on budget. Examples include the selection to lead the planning and development team for the $3.5 billion-dollar Central Embarcadero Seaport San Diego project, Terminal 2 improvements at San Diego International Airport, modernization and new construction projects at San Diego Unified School District, off-site parking and valet services for the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in La Jolla, Labor Compliance at 3 interconnected bridge projects for the City of San Marcos, quality control and assurance for the I-710 Integrated Corridor Management project, as well as new construction at Palomar Community College.

Alex is a graduate of Middlebury College, with degrees in both American Studies and Economics. He enjoys playing golf, watching football, hiking, and traveling. He currently serves on the board of the Best Defense Foundation, the SEAL Future Foundation, and is a member of NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Urban Land Institute, the National City Chamber of Commerce, the Lincoln Club, and the San Diego Political Leadership Institute.
